Margaret was the wife of George and lived with him in various places, including Cruddas Terrace (1 Cruddas Terrace[1]) in 1891. She was born in Tanfield, County Durham, the daughter of John Moore, a farmer of 161 acres, employing two men, and his wife, Mary in 1833. In 1851 James had obviously lost his wife and it is probable that Margaret was looking after the house. In 1856 she married George Armstrong of Bellingham, and they raised a large family. She died in 1910 and is commemorated by a gravestone in Bellingham Churchyard.
