Hindmarch, Maria (nee Hart)

Maria Hindmarch lived in [[7 Cruddas Terrace[[ in 1871 with husband George and children, Henry (10) and Mary A (3). She was born Maria Hart and baptised in Corsenside on 1 April 1832. Her father was Thomas and mother, Maria. The Harts lived in Brandy Bank, Woodburn in 1841 but Thomas isn’t recorded. In 1851 she was a servant in the employ of John Elliot the surgeon in Bellingham. She married George Hindmarch (Hindmarsh) in the third quarter of 1858. They lived in Foundry Yard, Bellingham when George was listed as a platelayer in 1861 but in 1871 he was a labourer while in 7 Cruddas Terrace in 1871. Maria’s death was recorded in Bellingham in the fourth quarter of 1877.
