<p><b>New page</b></p><div>Valentine Dent (nee McKie) is first recorded in [[3 Cruddas Terrace]], Bellingham when she was a five-year-old girl, in 1921, living with her parents, Thomas and Martha and older siblings at number [[3 Cruddas Terrace|3]]. She had been born in Bellingham on 14 February 1916. In 1939 she was still single at [[3 Cruddas Terrace]] in a household headed by her widower father, Thomas. Her job is listed as ‘house duties’. She married James Philip Dent in 1940. James was born on 17 October 1915 and was a mechanic improver at a garage and a bus conductor living at Black Heatherwick, Otterburn. James died in the third quarter 1993 whilst Valentine died a few weeks later in the fourth quarter of the same year.<br />
