No 9. Willie and Minnie Welton

Willie worked on the Council road gang and I remember daughter Theresa oldest and Mary the youngest. They were devout Catholics so we the Daltons being Church of England hadn’t much to do with them. We were the only two families in the street that attended churches. I cannot remember any other family that were attenders to a church. The young Welton girls went to the Catholic school where there may have been one teacher, as well as the priest Father Delaney who taught.
