Holy Trinity, Horsley, lies on the northerly side of the A68 about one mile south of Rochester village. It was built by the Earl of Redesdale, John Thomas Freeman Mitford, to designs by the architects John and Benjamin Green of Newcastle, with his land agent Edward Lawson acting as clerk of works. The building was completed in 1844.
