1856 OTTER HUNTING ON THE REDE “Great praise was due to Bugle [otter hound] for having kept the otter to himself for an hour until the miller of Redesmouth Mill came up, when he contrived to assist Bugle in bolting the otter. Had Bugle this time been successful, it would have added one more to the number, he having been at the death of 27 otters in his time.” Newcastle Journal 24th May 1856

1853 OTTER HUNTING IN NORTHUMBERLAND “It was a fine morning, in the month of April, some 35 years ago, that a message was sent to me from Mr. John Armstrong, miller, of Reedsmouth Mill, stating that an otter had left the North Tyne, his footmarks on the sands indicating that he had made his way up the Reedswater. (See attached article) Newcastle Weekly Chronicle Supplement 22nd September 1888

In the Farm Achieve it seems Redesmouth Mill was part of Mill Park Farm Redesmouth in 1860.
