Maria Hindmarch lived in [[7 Cruddas Terrace[[ in 1871 with husband [[Hindmarsh, George|George]] and children, Henry (10) and Mary A (3). She was born Maria Hart and baptised in Corsenside on 1 April 1832. Her father was Thomas and mother, Maria. The Harts lived in Brandy Bank, Woodburn in 1841 but Thomas isn’t recorded. In 1851 she was a servant in the employ of John Elliot the surgeon in Bellingham. She married [[Hindmarsh, George|George Hindmarch]] (Hindmarsh) in the third quarter of 1858. They lived in Foundry Yard, Bellingham when George was listed as a platelayer in 1861 but in 1871 he was a labourer while in [[7 Cruddas Terrace]] in 1871. Maria’s death was recorded in Bellingham in the fourth quarter of 1877.
