Jameson, Frances
In 1921 Frances Jameson was living with her widowed father, Edward Jameson in 4 Cruddas Terrace Bellingham. She was born on 26 April 1887 in the parish of Thockrington. In some returns she uses the alternate name Fanny. In 1901 she was resident in her aunt, Frances Milburn’s Tynedale House. Frances Milburn was a cow keeper and was single as were her three adult, cartwright brothers who were also resident. In 1911 twenty-three year old Frances had moved back with her parents in West View, Bellingham. At this stage her occupation is given as a self-employed baker. In 1921 in 4 Cruddas Terrace she was employed in house duties looking after her widowed father. In 1939 she was engaged in household duties for Isabel and Mary Scott who lived in 2 St. Cuthbert’s Terrace, Bellingham. She died in Hexham General Hospital on 29 October 1965. Administration of her £333 estate was granted to Edward Jameson, lorry driver (it is assumed tis is her brother).
