In 1891 William Kirkland was living in Cruddas Terrace (5 Cruddas Terrace), Bellingham in a household headed by brother George Kirkland. He had lived all his life in Bellingham since 1873. He was working as an agricultural labourer but within weeks of the Census being taken he was dead (2nd quarter 1891).
