Tilly, John (or Tilley, John)

John Tilly (or Tilley) was born in Bellingham in about 1837 and died in Morpeth in 1879. He was the son of Edward, an agricultural labourer of Old Man Shield. He married Frances Currey in Bellingham in October 1866. They had five children – Edward Tilly 1868 – 1878, William Yellowley Tilly 1870 – 1909, Thomas Joseph Tilly died 1871, John Tilly died 1874 and Ellen Tilly died 1877.

In 1871 John and Frances lived at 1 Cruddas Terrace.
